Driving risk stays with the driver

Off-road driving carries real risk, from soft ground and tides to heat and mechanical failure. By using this site you accept that you are responsible for your own safety, your passengers and your vehicle. We describe difficulty and hazards as honestly as we can, but no page on this site promises that any route, beach or road is safe for any particular person or truck on any particular day.

Accuracy and its limits

We work hard to name real places and frame them accurately, and we point at managing authorities where a rule may change. We cannot promise that a place is open, that a fee is current or that a road is clear on the day you arrive, because those things move faster than any page. Where you find something out of date, telling us helps, and we correct pages rather than defend them.

Use of the site's content

The text, photography and layout of this site belong to Offroad RGV and are here for readers planning a trip. You are welcome to read, share a link and use short excerpts with credit. Please do not copy whole pages, reuse the photography commercially or present our writing as your own without asking first, because that is the kind of misuse that makes a small guide harder to keep running.
